Lebanon's strengths are outside: the square, the state park at Cedars of Lebanon, the trails and the ball fields. The gap is the same one every Middle Tennessee town has — a long, wet or blazing-hot day with a four-year-old and nowhere to put them.

Getting here from Lebanon
Most Lebanon families come in on I-40 and cut north, or run Highway 70 and Briley to Gallatin Pike. Either way it is roughly forty minutes to 2291 Gallatin Pike N in Madison, with free parking at the door.
If you are coming from that far, a weekday is the better bet: the park is calmer before 4PM and the drive back misses the worst of the interstate.

Non-slip socks are required
Dinotopia socks are $3.95 a pair at the door, and a pair from an earlier visit works fine.
