Pokémon cards, now in the gift shop
From 26 September 2026 the Dinotopia gift shop stocks Pokémon trading cards, so a visit can finish with a pack as well as a plastic dinosaur.

Where to find them
They come out of a vending machine in the gift shop, and you will spot it as you make your way toward the gates — no hunting required. The shop around it carries the dinosaur figures, fossil kits, plush hatchlings and the grip socks everyone needs before they can get on anything, so most visits end up passing through.
A good end to a play session
Two or three hours on a three-level climbing structure tends to end with a child who is out of energy but not out of enthusiasm. A pack of cards is a manageable size of ask at that point, and it travels home better than a balloon. For older siblings who have aged past the climbing frames, it is a reason to come along at all.
One thing to know first
The machine does not take Dinotopia gift cards. That is the single exception on the whole site — a gift card still covers entry, birthday parties, the Pterodactyl Café and everything else on the gift shop shelves, but not the Pokémon machine. Plan on paying for packs another way.
