Not the roller-coaster kind — the big ride parks in Tennessee are a three-hour drive east. What Nashville does have, fifteen minutes north of downtown, is Dinotopia: an indoor amusement park built entirely for kids ages 1 to 10.

Instead of coasters there are Super Slides, a spiral Donut Slide, the Spider Tower, the Mammal Ball Pool, Jurassic Soft Play, the Godzilla Games wall and a dedicated toddler zone. What an indoor park gets you that an outdoor one doesn't

No heat advisory, no rain check, no sunscreen, no three-hour drive each way. You park at the door, everyone plays within sight, and the whole thing fits inside a normal Saturday or a weekday afternoon.
